FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything people ask us before booking. If your question isn’t here, message us — we answer the same day.

Always. You will never share the tuk-tuk with people you didn’t come with. That’s also why the route can change on the spot: there’s nobody else’s schedule to keep to.

Your hotel, your apartment, the cruise terminal, or any of our meeting points around the centre — including Avenida da Liberdade, Largo das Portas do Sol, Largo da Graça, Time Out Market and the Cathedral. Tell us where you’ll be and we’ll sort it out.

Yes, and pickup from the Lisbon cruise terminal is free. Give us your ship and docking time when you book and we’ll be there when you come off, with enough margin to get you back aboard comfortably.

English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and German. For German and French we schedule a specific guide, so please tell us at the time of booking rather than on the day.

One hour is an express run through the old town. Two hours covers Alfama, Mouraria and the main viewpoints properly — it’s what most people book. Three hours adds the quieter miradouros. Four hours brings in Belém. Six hours is a full day with time to stop and eat.

Our tuk-tuks have a roof and side covers, so light rain doesn’t stop anything. If the forecast is genuinely bad, move the tour to another day or cancel for a full refund — no argument.

Yes, and people do. If you’ve already seen Belém or you’d rather spend longer somewhere, tell your guide. The itinerary is a plan, not a contract.

Every one of them. No petrol engines in our fleet. It’s quieter, so you can hear your guide, and it keeps the exhaust out of Alfama’s very narrow, very lived-in streets.

For children aged 5 and over, yes — families are some of our favourite guests. Children under 5 can’t travel with us for safety reasons.

The tours aren’t suitable for pregnant women or for people with back problems, because Lisbon’s cobbles are genuinely bumpy. If you’re unsure, message us and we’ll talk it through honestly.

Not as standard — boarding requires stepping up into the vehicle. If a member of your group has limited mobility, contact us before booking and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can make it work.

Card payment on this website is being set up. For now, confirm by WhatsApp or email and pay your guide on the day by card, cash or MB Way — or book and prepay through GetYourGuide, Viator or Klook.

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour. Inside 48 hours, we’d much rather move your booking to another day than take your money for a tour you didn’t get.

Tips aren’t included and are never expected. Our guides are paid properly either way. If you had a great time, a tip is welcome and a review is worth more.

Yes. We operate under RNAAT n.º 599/2024, registered with Turismo de Portugal, and we carry company liability and personal injury insurance.
