Booking Terms & Conditions

Tours are operated by Xicoxico Tuk Tuk, Lda, trading as Chico Chico Tours, NIPC 518048381, registered with Turismo de Portugal under RNAAT n.º 599/2024.

We hold company liability insurance and personal injury insurance covering our guests during the tour.

A booking is confirmed when we reply to you in writing — by email or WhatsApp — with the date, time, duration, pickup point and price agreed.

Bookings made through GetYourGuide, Viator or Klook are governed by that platform’s terms in addition to these.

Prices are per tuk-tuk, not per person, and include VAT. A tuk-tuk carries up to six passengers, priced in two bands: 1 to 3 people, and 4 to 6 people.

Unless you have prepaid through a platform, payment is due on the day of the tour and can be made by card, cash or MB Way.

You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the tour is due to start. Cancellations inside 48 hours may be charged in full, although we will normally offer to move the booking instead.

We may cancel a tour for reasons of safety, severe weather, or vehicle failure. If we do, you will be offered an alternative time or a full refund.

For safety reasons our tours are not suitable for children under 5 years old, pregnant women, or people with back problems.

Children aged 5 and over are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult throughout.

Passengers must remain seated while the vehicle is moving and follow the guide’s safety instructions. We may end a tour without refund if a passenger’s behaviour puts anyone at risk, or if a passenger is intoxicated.

Itineraries are indicative. Traffic, roadworks, weather, public events and site closures can all change the route, and your guide will adapt it on the day.

Please be at the pickup point at the agreed time. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to shorten the tour to protect the next booking, without reducing the price.

Please keep your belongings with you. We are not liable for items left in the vehicle, though we will always try to reunite you with anything found.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Portuguese law.

If something goes wrong, tell your guide first — most things can be fixed on the spot. Otherwise write to info@chicochicotours.com and we will respond within fourteen days.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Consumers may also refer disputes to the relevant Portuguese alternative dispute resolution body, and a physical complaints book (Livro de Reclamações) is available in electronic form.
